DJ Hero will allow gamers to replicate their favourite DJ’s in their living room, by providing them with a turntable controller that allows them to spin, scratch, fade and mix more than 100 songs!

About DJ Hero
It has been well documented in the press that Acitivision was going to have to pull it's socks up if it wanted to remain being a successful company. The company had experienced serious growth over the past five years, as a result of launching a new ground breaking game - Guitar Hero. Everyone wanted to take their bedroom dreams of being a Rock Star and bring them to life on the Wii, PS3, PS2 or Xbox.
This was awesome, the games flew off the shelf, however once anyone who was anyone had purchased the game, the demand for the new incarnations soon began to fell - there are only so many plastic instruments that you wanted to have lying around the house! As such, Activision needed to look for a new idea - look for something that could emulate the success of the Guitar Hero brand - the answer (well they hope it is the answer) is DJ Hero!
DJ Hero is the new game from Activision, and the chances are it is going to be HUGE! DJ Hero will let you emulate your favourite DJ, and will let you spin some of the best music from a huge range of genres!
The way in which DJ Hero will operate is similar to what you might imagine. They center the game obviously around a turntable, and they have been working hard to make the turntable as realistic as possible. The turntable features a movable deck, which has three buttons on it (very similar in style to the buttons on the neck of the Guitar Hero Guitar). To the side of the deck, there is a control panel which will house the cross fade button and an effects dial.
The release date for DJ Hero here in the UK is going to be 30th of October. this date is for the release of ALL the versions, unlike last year where Activision staggered the release dates across the different games consoles.
There has been so much hype around DJ Hero it has been incredible - and it hasn't even kicked off yet. There have been demonstrations at Games Conferences, and from the look of it, this game is a serious bit of kit. So if you are an aspiring DJ, or you just fancy seeing what DJ'ing is all about, DJ Hero is definitely the game of choice this year!
DJ Hero Renegade
We have been contacted a few times now regarding the version of DJ Hero called DJ Hero Renegade! Well, firstly it is the premium version of the DJ Hero game, and secondly it looks awesome!
The standard version of DJ Hero comes with a standard plastic controller and a copy of the game. The DJ Hero Renegade version comes with oh so much more:
Controller: The Renegade version of the DJ Hero Controller is made out of metal and has a slick black finish - this controller makes the standard DJ Hero controller look like it was made for 6 year olds - this controller looks the nuts!
DJ Hero Carrying Case: Protect your prized posession with a durable carrying case - the case actually transforms into a handy DJ Stand!
Eminem & Jay-Z: Ok, well you don't really get Eminem and Jay-Z , but what you do get is a two CD pack which includes a selection of awesome songs and a number of previously unreleased tracks from the masters themselves!
DJ Hero Game: A copy of the standard game is included.
If you have got the bucks, then we strongly suggest paying the extra for the DJ Hero Renegade version - looks incredible!
